Steve Wasko

BOARD MEMBER

Steve Wasko is a veteran school administrator having served in senior leadership roles with Detroit Public Schools, West Bloomfield School District and the Archdiocese of Detroit Office of Catholic Schools, with deep experience in strategy, new program development and increasing opportunities for vulnerable populations. These include the launch of innovations in Public Montessori, bilingual immersion and gifted-talented/examination high school, and organizational strategies focused on clear mission leading to enrollment growth and new resources. He holds a Master’s in Educational Administration from the University of Michigan and completed the Certificate in Advanced Educational Leadership at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. He has also founded and/or led a number of neighborhood and community development organizations in the City of Detroit.
