The Detroit Health Equity Council invites you to participate in the May 2023 Community Listening Session on Health Equity.

The purpose of the Community Listening Session is to bring together Detroit residents and stakeholders who would like to share their experience and perspective on opportunities, challenges, assets, and strategies related to advancing all forms of equity including health equity.

Your input will contribute to a broader Detroit health equity plan that will inform local priorities, innovate interventions, identify solutions, and drive resource investment to Detroit communities.

This listening session series is powered by the Detroit Health Equity Council (DHEC) and funded by MOSES (Metropolitan Organizing Strategy Enabling Strength).

The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Office of Health Equity created a series of short informative videos on the topics of health equity, social determinants of health, racism and health, and intersectionality. The graphics and video link below provides a brief introduction to these complex issues which we will explore during the DHEC Community Listening Session.
