Lucas Smith was born and raised in Waterford, Michigan. In 2021, he moved to Detroit to attend Wayne State University where he is currently enrolled in his final year of undergraduate studies in Sociology, with minors in both Spanish and Law. Post-graduation he plans to attend law school. He began working for MOSES in May of 2024 as an organizing intern, focusing on transportation equity, voter education, and development of the internship program.
